Animoca Brands has proclaimed it'll partner with Korean record label Cube entertainment to create a “K-pop metaverse.”


Nonfungible tokens (NFTs) still disrupt the mainstream entertainment industries, with NFT gaming firm Animoca Brands partnering with a Korean record label, talent agency, and music production company, Cube diversion, to create a “K-pop music metaverse.” 

Announced on Nov. 15, the partnership can see Animoca and Cube work along to make transmission NFTs celebrating common actors and K-pop musicians on Cube’s list. The NFTs can feature pictures like creator portraits and album art, and conjointly embrace digital sound sources like full-length albums. 

Yat Siu, the chief government of Animoca Brands, expressed that he cannot wait to start operating with Cube to “make the open metaverse a reality.” Animoca delineates the partnership as sanctioning “true digital property rights and alternative blockchain benefits” for each of the artists on Cube’s list and their fans. 

Ahn Woo Hyung, CEO of Cube, aforesaid that the collaboration is going to be “an important beginning for leading the global digital culture market and advancing the digital content industry." 

Cube manages roughly fifty K-pop artists, as well as BtoB, Pentagon, (G)I-DLE, and Lightsum.
